Being prepared for an earthquake is vital to the safety of you and your family. The cities of Westlake Village and Agoura Hills have teamed up to host “Are You Prepared?”, an event aimed to inform local citizens about steps they can take before, during, and after an earthquake to better protect their homes and families.
Experts from several public agencies and survival product vendors will have information available on their roles in preparedness and emergency response. Tuesday,August 31 atWestlake Village Civic Center 31200 Oak Crest Drive.
Schedule of Events
5:00 - 6:30 PM - Information Booths in the Westlake Village Civic Center Courtyard
6:30 - 7:30 PM - Seminar and Q & A in the Westlake Village City Council Chambers
7:30 PM - Live fire extinguisher training
Signups will be available that evening for an upcoming Community Emergency Response Team
(CERT) class. The CERT program provides training in basic disaster response skills, such as fire
safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
